Setup guides, troubleshooting steps, and answers to common questions.

Getting started

  1. Install the app and launch it.
  2. Connect to a network share (SMB, NFS, WebDAV) or use local volumes.
  3. Open the menu bar item to see live status: online/offline, capacity, server and path.
  4. Open the detail view to reconnect or safely eject, and to reveal volumes in Finder.
  5. Pin frequently used volumes as favorites to keep them at the top; group and tag for clarity.

Tip: Reconnect an offline volume to refresh its status and capacity information.

Troubleshooting

  1. Offline volumes shows up but reconnect fails: Ensure the share is reachable, then try reconnect from the row menu. If the server is slow, SRV Status uses a non‑blocking mount and avoids UI hangs; you can retry after a few seconds.
  2. Why do I see no capacity for network volumes? Capacity is only shown when available. SRV Status avoids blocking network calls on the main thread and will populate capacity asynchronously where possible.
  3. How do profiles work? Create a profile with target URLs (e.g. smb://host/share). You can batch mount the active profile from the menu. Ghost entries appear when a configured target is currently not mounted.
