Data Collection

USB Status does not collect personal data. The app runs fully on your device and does not:

• Send information to external servers
• Gather device details beyond what is required to detect USB hardware
• Use analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising identifiers

What Information Is Processed

USB Status processes only the USB-related information needed to display details inside the app, including:

• USB device names and identifiers
• Connection speed and USB version
• Power requirements and current status
• Vendor and product IDs

All processing happens locally on your device and is never transmitted.

Data Storage

App settings, pinned devices, custom names, and granted local bookmarks are stored locally on your Mac. If you use iCloud, Apple may sync some preferences across your devices. USB Status does not use its own cloud service.
